Diane Perry EPK
Beauty, Passion and Heart.
Violinist Diane Perry is breaking new ground
blending the language of folk with the artistry of classical and jazz.
The stunning music that results has Beauty, Passion and Heart as its core.
Hailed as "madly original-playful, mischievous, and innocent all at once," Juilliard-trained violinist Diane Perry's music is so visceral and honest --audiences have been moved to tears. With a violin sound lauded for it's spectacularly soaring tone, and a voice rich with emotion, her shows swing between hilarious and heartbreaking.
She's been awarded two official Folk Alliance Regional Showcases: the 2017 Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) conference where she booked several Midwest concerts, and has since toured the Midwest and the southeast USA, and for the 2018 NERFA Semi-Formal Showcases, Diane Perry performed Saturday, Nov. 10th at 11:05 PM in the International Ballroom of the Stamford Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stamford, CT.
Diane Perry was invited to perform at the 2019 Tucson Folk Festival in Arizona on April 6, 2019, and played with six-time Grammy Winner Arturo O'Farrill in the Greene Space in a live broadcast from WQXR and WNYC on March 12, 2019, and again aspart of Carnegie Hall Summer COncert Series in the parks July 2022..
David Amram
"Diane Perry is a true musician's musician and a singer's singer, and all the artists who have stood the test of time all fit this same definition. She doesn't copy anyone and doesn't need to; She tells her own story in a compelling style that makes you want to go back and hear more.
She plays violin and sings with a soulfulness and brilliance that captivates audiences as much as her performances thrill the musicians who play with her and come especially to hear her. SHE IS THE REAL DEAL!!!"
Reggie Harris
"I love, love, LOVE, (with a capital L!)
what you are doing!
The astonishing combination of the relationship of your instruments and the articulate nature of your arrangements was
simply magical!
What you did in your performance was combine the best of literature, music,
and the dramatic arts."
