OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO WORK WITH SOME AMAZING MUSICIANS.

BETTER YET, I GET TO CALL MOST OF THEM FRIENDS.

HERE IS A CURATED LIST OF SOME OF THEM, WITH LINKS TO THEIR WEBSITES, WHEN AVAILABLE.

CHECK THEM AND THEIR MUSIC OUT, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

FOLK

Noel Paul Stookey

Paul, of Peter Paul and Mary. Legendary, hip, and still relevant today.

Paul Prestopino

A Peter, Paul, and Mary bandmate, and wondeful multi-instrumentalist and friend!

The Don Juans

Grammy Award® winning songwriters Don Henry and Jon Vezner team up as singer-songwriter duo, with the cutest, sweetest, fun music they've written, some of it on ukulele! Diane recorded some tracks on violin for their new album, due out soon!

Gina Forsyth

Absolutely indescribable, Gina's voice is unearthly and throaty, her songs are so intelligently written, and she can play cajun, bluegrass, and just about anything else on guitar and fiddle. Diane will be performing with her as backing band in May and June of 2017 in the Northeast.

Paul Sachs

New York City denizen Paul Sachs is a consummate singer, with a rich baritone voice that is as vast and dark and expressive as it is beautiful. On top of that, his guitar-playing is great, his songs, unusual and artfully crafted.

Kathy Moser

One of the most prolific songwriters on the planet, Kathy met Diane four years ago, and gave her a spot in her trio. Together with Peter Lister, a phenomenal bass player (and guitarist and songwriter himself) The Kathy Moser Trio has been performing in the NorthEast at various clubs.

John Sonntag

Great songwriter, with a sweetness to his voice and his work that puts me in the mind of John Denver. I recorded a few tracks for his upcoming album too!

Reggie Harris

This rich baritone voice is weathered with the weight of credibility by a lifetime of social justice songwriting. His are peculiarly noteworthy for his spectacular melodies.

Greg Greenway

One of the most versatile songwriters style-wise, this multi-instrumentalist has written several of my recent favorite tunes. His heart shows in everything he does.

Mara Levine

No, she doesn't write, or play an instrument, other than her lovely voice. Sometimes billed with Gathering Time, sometimes with other musicians, this artist breathes new life into the songs of others by masterminding brilliant arrangements and with her earnest singing.. Truly an underappreciated master interpreter of song.

JAZZ

Fred Hersch

The quintessential genius of the jazz piano, this man can improvise three distinct, contrapuntally correct lines at the same time at a blazing fast speed... but that's NOT why I love him!

It is his classical pianist's touch, a very rare thing for a monster jazz musician to have, that wrenches every spare bit of emotion out of the most glorious of re-harmonizations of standards and his own incredible creations.

What can I say? His work is a constant revelation, a highway straight into joy and wonder, a miracle you simply must witness for yourself. You haven't lived until you hear this man.

Yes, really.

Efrat

Wonderful woman and true colleague, another singing songwriting violinist who can swing! And one I am proud to call my friend!

Chick Corea

No, I don't know him, but his work, eclectic, individual, chaotically beautiful, and full of fire. Another genius.

Stephen Fuller

I was lucky to be asked to play on his album, and this man's got it all: great voice, (his "Old Man River" is to die for!) knows how to swing, and he has the musicality to pull almost any genre of song off and make you glad he did.!

Ted Brancato

The pianist I chose to accompany me on my first jazz CD. And why? Because he knows how to use the keyboard as his personal orchestra. He finally came out with an album of his own compositions after thirty years of playing, writing and arranging for others. It is absolutely one of my favorite CD's... definitely a "desert island pick." Check it out!

It is aptly titled The Next Step

Pure, unadulterated exquisiteness, from the first note to the last.

What a freaking GENIUS!
